Halfway Gone
I’m halfway gone, and I’m on my way. Seeing you is like green light at the end of the dock, and you’re on the other side of the bay. Yet I run to you. This was not forever, yet it was just a short period of time, that felt like forever. It will pass, and in the end “I am me, and I am I.” Realizing now that loving you is the wrong thing to be doing, I am slowly moving on, and moving up. Life is mysterious and people talk, and people are crazy. But in the end we are all human, and mistakes are always forgiven, for the debtors also commit the unthinkable act of adultery, and they know no bounds in this game we call life. We are all mistake makers and takers. We are all here for a reason whether we realize it now or not. This unhappiness you’re feeling right now, it is only temporary, because people are truly good at heart. Never let a man stomp you so low to hate him.
