An Ally
Well let me start by telling you why i'm writing this essay. I’m writing to inform you about my dad. He is transgender so i was bullied and pushed around called f** and others names i would rather not share. At the time i had wished i had an ally to make me feel like i was worth the time. i did not get any friends till i changed schools and told no one about my dad’s change.
If you don’t know “lgbtq it stands for gay lesbian and transgender” (welcoming project) ’or people that are gay lesbian or transgender. The best way to be an ally is to be open minded’. if you don't know being and ally can be a wonderful thing for yourself and others. Being an ally means to be there for people who need a shoulder to cry on. If you're in the same situation as someone else tell a personal story.
If you are into this you should try to bring awareness to others . When you see or hear racist slurs you can be the one to help out by saying it's not cool. Doing simple things such as that can make a difference in the world. The people who stand around and do nothing are the reasons this keeps happening.
‘It has been appropriated to mean "rubbish" or "crap" [Young] Being gay or lesbian is not a crime. If anyone wants to judge let them. The sooner they realize you're not going to change the sooner they will get over it and accept the fact that not everyone is like them. Some people just assume that everyone else is straight and they judge others that have a different lifestyle but if you're an ally you can help people who have a hard time being themselves.
