I have a place of that is very special to me, a place that I will never forget, well next to Guatemala any way. One day I told my mom, I want to go to Arizona and visit Jessie, and I kept telling my mom, but I didn’t tell Jessie that I wanted to visit. My mom and Jessie face time almost every other day, so one day when she was talking to her through face time about visiting her in the summer, because Jessie was going to have a baby girl. She told Jessie that I also wanted to go to Arizona. Jessie encouraged me to come visit and said that she would even pay for my plane ticket. She then asked my sister Crystal if she wanted to go to, and she said yes. So then off to the airport we went, Josselin drove us there, she sped the whole way there. I was feeling really nervous, I don't know why because I have been on an airplane many times before this. I did not feel good at all on the airplane, and we were on the plane for two hours before it even took off because of storm delays. We finally made it and I was so happy to see Jessie and Jordan. Jordan is Jessie's husband.

If you're wondering why Arizona is significant to me it is because of my family there. Jessie is my sister and I barely get to see her. Jace is my three-year old nephew, I love that boy so much. Juliet, my three-month old niece, is the most cutest baby girl I ever saw.  It is also because Jordan and his family made us feel so happy and at home. We went to a cookout at Jordan's parents house and Gregg Jordan's dad was really nice and cooked hamburgers for all of us. Jenny, Jordan's mom, loves to bake she helped me bake Oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookies as a surprise for Jessie. I remember the look on her face, she was so happy. I can't forget Fitz who is Boxer & Annabel a blue nosed pit, they are so cute. The people of Arizona were nice, it seemed like the people got along pretty well. They listened to a lot of country, and there were a lot of big trucks. It is a very peaceful place, not just the people but the scenery.

The hot dry air hit my face when we went out of the airport. When we were driving out of Phoenix to go to Mesa after they picked us up from the airport, I looked around even though it was dark out I saw how beautiful the landscape was. You may think that it is just a desert. How much beauty could you find in a desert? It wasn't just desert, there were big, beautiful, buildings, I found beauty in it because it was different, the bridges were made out of different colored bricks and cool designs. It was cool to see the cactus and trees with no leaves, they were natural decorations and looked so nice. There were these weird trees with green trunks, and no leaves. My sister and I saw tumbleweeds tumbling on the sandy terrain. One day we went to an asian restaurant to celebrate Jordan's, brother's birthday, and when we were in the parking lot I saw palm trees in rows outlining the roads, and outside of the entrance was a beautiful fountain. I could see the mountains from afar, the landscape during the day was more beautiful than at night. The mountains were surrounding us, every direction you would turn you would see the giant mountains in the distance. Jessie, Jordan and his parents lived in the same neighborhood. The houses were different, they were made  of bricks and had small backyards. The roofing was even different, they used weirdly shaped bricks as shingles. The grass surrounding the sidewalks was fake grass, some people's front yards had fake grass to. Almost all the houses looked the same. We had a lot of fun especially when we went to the outdoor mall, it was very interesting.

I remember getting teary eyed as I waved good-bye to Jessie. It was so sad to leave that my family and the beauty of Arizona. When my dad picked us up in the airport I was so happy to see him, but I remember crying a little on our way home. I did bring back some souvenirs, a sheriff's badge that says Arizona, a solid glass rectangle with a road runner imprint in it and also says Arizona, and Jace's cold. I hope I can go back there soon, I found a sense of peace there. I really miss my Arizona family.
