Reminder
There wasn't much to say on the matter. He was gone and there was nothing he or I could have done even if I hadn't left. He already had planned it. It was all there, written in his journal, in his eyes I now know as I look back. The one that no one knew of, the one that told me all I needed to know. That he was hurt. That the pain he was feeling was consuming;ravishing at his insides. Clawing it's inside him and not letting go.Even if I hadn't left, he wouldn't have felt any different.
This was what I had written in mae; a reminder. It was a way of coping, of trying to believe it. By never forgetting. Never forgiving myself for what I had left behind. A broken soul that had an alien invading it's body and mind. Someone without my help who needed it the most. That's why it was written in me; to remind.
