Have you ever wondered what it is like to be part of major projects that people use everyday? Well, that is what an engineer does. They are behind the scenes making sure that things are safe to work with, they come up with designs to make things better and they develop new things all the time. I believe that being an engineer is the best job to have because you get to affect people's life, you get to create interesting things, you can choose from many fields to work in.

An engineer has the opportunity to affect many people’s lives. Engineers are found in many different fields. They are in the medical field trying to develop new medication, drugs, and medical equipment. They are in the civil field, making bridges, dams, and roads. Things that a city needs to thrive. Electrical engineers, thy maintain huge electrical grids of cities and even small things like little processors like you would find in your computer.  Just think, what if we didn’t have engineers? Where would we be? Would the Pyramids of Giza be standing? Would cities be as great and vast as they are today? Would people be living as long as they do today? Everything we are and we use revolves around an idea brought to life by engineer. Life changes by the day and engineers have to be there to match it and grow right along.

Second, you get to create interesting things. For example, the 2015 Ford F-150, it is made of Aluminum. Generally trucks are made of steel for various reasons but the engineering department at Ford had a great idea to save weight on one of the most popular vehicles out there. It is an interesting concept that seems to have worked great so far. Another example, the iPhone, was a revolutionary idea that changed the way people used phones. I can not think of anyone that still uses a flip phone anymore because they were replaced by the next best thing. Guess what? It was brought to life by engineers. That shows what people are able to do to an entire market. They changed it forever and it kept going and advancing.

My third and final reason being an engineer is the greatest job is that there are many different fields to choose from. There is basically an unlimited amount of choices for fields of study. From aerospace, (Planes, spacecraft, satellites, and missiles) to civil engineering (Bridges, railway, and infrastructure), then to software (Integrated systems and computer science). There will never be a shortage for engineers so you just have to pick what you enjoy the most! This world has technology expanding at an epic speed so that means that each area is expanding and in need of new things all the time. Change is the one of the only things guaranteed by life so the engineers in all their field need to improve what we have and bring new things in. By the understanding that everything is expanding and growing that means that there is a growing and evolving need for people to meet the challenge head on and make this world a better place to live. 

I believe that being an engineer is the best job to have because you get to affect people's life, you get to create interesting things, you can choose from many fields to work in. They affect people's lives everyday by developing new technology that enhance our way of life. Engineers create interesting things. They have created the planes we fly in, the computers we type on, and the various tools we use daily. Lastly there are many different areas to work in because the world is ever expanding. You have now learned why being an engineer would be a great job to have. How could it not be a great job? Look at all of the possibilities that are out there. Job security is strong in this field because it will never go away and the potential is ever growing. The job is there you just need to go out and get an education. Then the world is, in a sense, yours for the taking. Go out there and make the world a better place for people to live.
