Time Is the Most Valuable of Things
What do I value most? What I value most is something that may prove surprising for some but may also be something that a lot of others agree with. A lot of people value things such as things they are good at, or things such as money but what I value most is time. That's right, time is what I value the most. Now I know somehow must be thinking, "What? You value time over family?" and the answer is no because I do value my family a lot really but to value my family means to be with them, to have fun them, to create memories with them, but to make all that possible, you need time. Time is something that is always moving and never stops. Every second of time is really important as that one second could prove to be a life changer for you. That one second might prove to be the second in which you achieve something you always wanted to do. That one second might prove to be your "major key to success" as DJ Khaled always says.
There are so many more examples like that which I can write down. There is an endless amount of possibilities, but I would like to write about something which might just make some of you guys cherish how valuable time is even more. So while writing this blog, I came across an excellent article about the importance of time. (Value of Time) This article gave me a scenario which involved a person being asked to choose between one million dollars or adding five years to your life. Most people will without a doubt choose the money because it's money. The list of things you can do with a million dollars is damn to high. With that money you can buy just about anything you want. To be honest, if this question was asked to me a couple of years back, I would have probably gone ahead and taken the million dollars. So yes, money can do a lot for you and all but it still doesn't come near the importance of time. There is no legitimate comparison between them as time is clearly the more valuable of the two. That's because yes, a million dollars can buy a lot, but it can never buy time. Not even a nanosecond. Money can't even buy a picosecond and yes, that's a real thing. With those extra five years you can do so much in your life. You can fix some mistakes you might have made in the past, you can spend time with your loved ones and create memories that you will forever cherish, or you can even go on a journey to find your true love. Heck, you can even travel the world if you wanted. Imagine how much fun that would be. Time is always moving forward and once time passes, you can never get it back and so value this time that you have been blessed with, or before you know it, it might be too late. To end I would like to use a quote by the late Steve Jobs, "My favorite things in life don't cost any money. It's really clear that the most precious resource we all have is time."
