Feels like Flying
I was up fifty feet up in the air on a rope speeding as fast as a lightning bolt scared out of my pants.
During summer my aunt agreed that my family and i would go to Hawaii for summer break. She asked, “ When we go what do you want to do in Hawaii ”
I replied, “ I want to go ziplining.”
She agreed and mumbled, “That's your choice”.
When summer break was here we got packed and headed to L.A.X to catch our flight. In my mind I thought the hardest part about this trip was going zip lining it turned out for me the hardest part was getting on a plane.
I started walking towards the plane then asked my mom not knowing you can’t drive a car there, “Do we have to go on a plane to Hawaii can't we take a car, ” my mom looked at me then told me “ you can't take a car were taking the plane”.
Then on the plane my brother whispered to trying not to wake people around us “don't worry planes aren't that bad,” trusting him as we starting to go up .
We just landed and the doors opened so I ran as fast as a cheetah sprinting trying to get out of the plane not noticing the beautiful scenery with palm trees and sand. Then we rented a car feeling the nice red fabric and headed for the hotel ready to sleep the hotel had a gorgeous beach next to it and lit by tiki torches. Feeling as tired as I was I hit the bed not able to sleep terrified for the next day.
I woke up got dressed then got in the car and started driving towards the zip ling place and when we got there we saw zip lines going everywhere each one going to a tall wooden tower. There was one zip line that went over a glistening lake at least in my eyes.
My family and I got are necessary equipment(harness and hooks for the rope)on and took a picture together then started heading towards the fifty feet tower of doom in my mind of course. We started going up the stairs of the wooden monstrosity and then finally hit the top and got hooked to the wire while a monstrous wind constantly was blowing shaking the tower and when I first went looking at all the trees and flowers I was towering I was sacred.
Then when I got used to it I loved it it was now fun to me and my family recorded each other while going down. Until the next tower came up it was two line going one man faster than the other of course me and my brother went I shouted ,"you can't beat me I smaller." he replied, "Well I am bigger gravity is on my side." It was a tie. Then we ended in a tree house bought a hat for my brother and then flew back home.
This was an important part in my life because it taught me to try new things even if your scared. I learned that I love zip lining and don't judge before you try. You should try new things if you're scared conquer your fear and you'll maybe have a good time. Even if you don't like after all then just don't do it again but if you enjoy it then you know you like it now. It now helps me go on humongous ride like space mountain or the pacific rim .
