The Hands
The hands that lift the others are the strongest, and eventually make their own triumph some day. They’re the ones controlled by the eyes that understand, and the feet that walk without worry. They’re connected to the body that knows what it wants, and goes after it in confidence. The hands that heal are powered by the heart that comforts. They overpower its doubtful mind and don’t take no for an answer. The hands that raise when there's no one else are also the ones that support the team. They’re the ones that can obey but know when to lead. These are the hands that work through the endless nights and reckless days with faith and courage. The hands that drive the others mad know when to be humble. They are the hands that can press themselves together and ask for help. The hands that live are the ones mine aspire to be.
