A Wonder or Two
Damn. It’s the first of September and I haven’t slept a wink since August. Luckily this coffee shop opens at five. My second week of classes is coming to an end, and I’m beginning to wonder whether these pages are half full or half empty as I write on them. I’m beginning to wonder if I should be writing more, if this is my calling or not. Is my writing helping? Is it changing things? I like to believe I’ve changed people for good, for the better. I’m beginning to wonder about change and what it’s all about. Can I change on purpose? Can I change myself? Others have certainly changed me. I’m beginning to wonder how such a small person can become such a big part of one’s life, how he can impart such big change. I’m beginning to wonder about love. They say love is beautiful, patient, and kind. They say that it changes you… no wonder.
