The Way He Smiled...
He wore a gray shirt. Dark gray, with long sleeves. In his dark blue chair of the matching set his greenish eyes were smiling along with his sloppy, chapped lips. He chuckled to himself As he reached out his mangled, worn fingers to nuzzle my side. It tickled and I turned my smile towards him in his dark gray, long sleeve shirt as the laugh spilled over my lips. He chuckled some more and I moved my bare feet closer to him on the darkly faded, flat rug on the wood floor. I hugged him but not too tight because even though I knew he was strong, he felt frail in my arms. But I hugged him. I miss hugging him, my Poppy.
