Time of my Life
I would like to be 13 years old. Having the freedom to go wherever my bike could take me. Not having to work or try hard at school. One minute I could be playing Fortnite the next at a friend's house on the lake. Everyday it felt like I was in a new place, meeting new people, doing something different.
It all started on Fortnite. I joined my friend's party with some people I didn’t really know and we started playing. Then we played the next day, and the day after that, and kept on playing. Eventually we started to hangout. The best thing to do at that time was to go biking. With the temperature as hot as the sun, we would often stop at culvers to get ice cream and cold drinks. There at culvers we would adjudicate where we would go next. Oftentimes we would be hot and sweaty from biking so we would bike all the way to the quarry and swim. Here we would swim for hours and then end the day with jumping off the illegal cliff jump. This would often lead to us getting kicked out by the par security who we all abhorred.
When we were not biking we would be at my friends house on the lake. Sometimes I would sleep over there for days in a row. We would always try and beguile our parents into letting us sleep over one more night so that we could continue the fun. There was always something new for us to try. Like that one time where we tried to tube on a jetski and me and my other two friends were pelted with what felt like ice balls. Then the foolish driver turned too fast and my friend fell off and I heard the loudest smack of my life. After the long lake days we would stay up till 3 am building whole cities out of pillows and blankets. Even though we were young and maybe a little rowdy and rambunctious I made so many memories having the time of my life.
