Longing Difference
I don’t think that it will ever be easy to look at you or hear about you or talk about you or think about you. I don’t see how I could ever smile when hearing about you with another girl. You were too great a significance in my life for it to ever be easy, but that dosen’t mean that I won’t be okay. I’ll fall in love again. Not in the same way I did with you, but in the way I only will with them. Nobody can ever be you. Nobody else can be my first. Nobody can share the same memories and conversations that we did. But somebody can be my second, and only they can be that to me. We can create different memories, hold different conversations, all meaning just as much as they did with you. You can’t be replaced, but someone can act in your retired position. Nobody can be you, but why would I want them to be? Them being different is the whole point.
