My First Goal
The first time I ran
fast I was nine
My legs started to sweat
With a knee pad in each leg
Hot June, Green grass
Beneath my clicks
As I ran towards
The goal
A defender
From the other team
Came running straight at me
I smiled
And then did my best trick
The step over
I past the defender
Then I kicked the ball
As hard as I could
The ball raced into the soccer net
Then I heard
Gooooooooooooaal
I was very happy because
I made the winning goal
I did it, I MADE THE WINNING GOAL
At first
I couldn’t believe it
Then I knew
I could do it
I am a skilled
Soccer player
After all
