4 years. She was 16 when they met and he was 20.

When/ why did you move to Florida?

1950; she took step-grandmother and step-aunt and uncle to visit family in Florida. When they were there, became sick and had to have surgery. Because of this she bought a house for them all to live. After the surgery, her step-aunt died and she was left with the house. She stayed and her husband followed when he docked from being out at sea as a Merchant Marine.
