One More Time
The warmth of the water that fell down my cheeks did not bring comfort to my heart. But yet, no part of my body could quit the rolling of my tears. The sunlight reflected off the dark painted balloons, as they floated upward to heaven. A gush of wind blew them farther away then I wanted. Some part of me wanted the balloons to stay, just like I wanted him to stay. But another part of me needed to say goodbye. I watched as they became black dots in the sky, and at some point it brought an ease to my soul. He’s in a better place now. I just wish I had time to say the 3 most important words of anyone’s life, just one more time; I just needed to see his smile, hear his laugh, and feel his hug just one more time.
