Barcelona Drive
December 15, 2022,
Dear Tee:
As you have now reached 81 years old, I constantly wonder how much time I will have left with you. I know time is precious and we should value every second of it. But I specifically value our time at your old house on Barcelona Drive. It symbolizes my free-spirited childhood. I never wanted to leave your side, I hated being home sometimes so your house was my getaway. You gave me all that I wanted because I was your favorite and still is. We used to sit outside on the porch while you smoked your cigarettes and talked on the phone. While I played with the neighbors and the cars would pass, you would yell at me to not go in the road. I will never forget the many whoppings you have saved me from. I will call you and you would be there in a heartbeat to bring me home with you. I'm so grateful for the time god has given me with you for these 17 years. But I'm especially grateful for the many memories at your house that will live with me. Our toast and coffee for breakfast will forever be in my heart.
Love, your favorite niece, Hailey
