 Lambeau Field

The coolest thing in Wisconsin is the Lambeau field.  This field was created in 1957. This one is the most historic stadium in the NFL also it is the oldest stadium in the NFL. Lambeau field has been the home of the packers for 101 years. In  2001 they renovated the stadium.  There have been some crazy games played on that field. The most famous game is the Ice game.

The 1967 championship game was played at  Lambeau field.  This game was played at -13 degrees Fahrenheit. This game was known as the Ice Bowl.  This is believed to be the coldest game in NFL history.  This game ended with a Packers victory over the Cowboys.  Lambeau Field is the oldest stadium in the NFL.  The packers have played 382 games at Lambeau field. They have won 251 of them and tied for 6 of them. They have also played 25 playoff games at Lambeau Field and they have won 18 and lost 7.    Aaron Rogers has won the most games at  Lambeau field, he has played 106 games and has won 81 of them.  Lambeau field has the nickname of the frozen Tundra.  The opening day for  Lambeau the field was September 29, 1957.  If you want to get season tickets it takes the average person 30 years.

My experience in the Lambeau field was in 2019. The packers were hosting the raiders. The weather for this game was very nice and very enjoyable. It was a 12 o’clock game and I had to get up pretty early because I live three hours away from the stadium.   So my 2 brothers and my Dad and I start the three-drive. I slept the whole way there. We get there with around 2 hours to spare. We walk around get some food and watch the game. And this game was great. We played the raiders and our QB Aaron Rodgers had an amazing game.  The packers won 42 to 24.   It was an amazing experience, The fans were really loud. The weather was a great time and the packers played great. Also, the view I had was amazing. We were right behind the goalpost.  Also, everybody, there was so nice, I didn’t have one bad interaction with somebody. Also, the people around weren’t annoying.

Some cool facts about Lambeau Field are that the field is named after their coach curly Lambeau.  Another thing is the stadium can fit 81,435 people.  Another thing is the stadium has a 50-foot replica of the Lombardi trophy. The Lombardi coach is named after one of the packers' coaches.  The packers have a 141-42-5 at their stadium which makes it one of the hardest places to play at.  Another thing is their benches were wooden until the 1969 season.  Another cool fact is the field has a complex heating system to prevent freezing. The last cool fact I will talk about is it was inspired by the Michigan stadium.  Lambeau's field was built 20 years after the Michigan stadium was built.
