"Diary of a Hoarder's Kid" review
This article to me is really heart breaking. The way the author wrote certain things, such as "the roaches and mice were childhood companions" and "Outside my room was the mountain range of clothes, trash, and Power Rangers otherwise known as my brothers' room" made me really feel like I was in their shoes looking and feeling everything they were. I find it sad that this article was a non-fiction piece, because it most be horrible to wake up every day and live in the house of a hoarder. I love how the ending said "My plan is to help neglected children. My hope is to make the invisible visible. I am a hoarder's kid, but I am so much more than that." It really made me happy that this person chose to help people in the future with the problems she went through after she graduates college. I look forward to reading more from her, if she chooses to submit again.
