Discrimination

Disrespect is all around,
In the air, all throughout.
Lips fly, blue eyes roll,
Words crash across ebony backs.

Tears glide down yellow cheeks,
So soft and meek,
Don't dare speak.

Red hair is dyed to match her peers,
Someone hears.
More chrimson tears.
Cutting, Emotional,
So much pain.
Even Preps hide in shame.

Her hair, his face,
Homeland, gender, race.
We all feel pain,
We dis the same.

Stop the words,
Actions speak.
Love the change,
Embrace the weak.

The author's comments:
I was inspired to write this poem because discrimination is one thing that everyone can relate to and I really wanted to make a point that when you disrespect other cutures you are not only causing them pain, you are also asking to have the discrimination fired back at you. Don't dis.
