Asking for It by Tara T.
The poem “Asking For It” that Tara T. wrote had a powerful effect on me. Girls tend to keep silent about sexual assault and it can leave an emotional scar. Reading how it happened step by step gives the reader an idea what girls may have been through. Sexual assault can scar a person for life, she says that she was “asking for it” because of her actions but they do not justify what that boy did. This eye awakening poem made me realize that to a great extent. I would like to thank Tara for sharing this experience to others.
