The Gift of Silence in a Loud World
The writing titled “The Gift of Silence in a “Loud World,” written by Celine Y, talks about her being deaf and how it has changed her life. The main thing I liked about the article is how she put it together. It all just runs through so smoothly. I agree with what she said in the article. I can’t relate to her situation. I’m not deaf. I understand about what she is saying how her being deaf doesn’t make her less of a person. It makes her a better person and more thankful. She wrote the article very well. I enjoyed reading it very much. A way she said she was thankful and that it changed her was, “So I’m not going to lament my hearing loss, whatever caused it, or all the grievances that it has caused me.” Then she goes on how her hearing has changed her. She writes, “Instead, I will say thank you, hearing loss, for giving me so much.” I love how this article was put together and how she was not mad about being deaf, but she has found ways to deal with it.
