Feedback on Drinking Spells
Drinking Spells by Tanya displays a realistic story about life with a father in jail and a mother who was an alcoholic. This piece is a heartfelt account about an account with alcoholism. Tanya descriptively displays the emotions that the girl or herself feels as her mother continues to push her away and lie to her. The author also describes the feelings and thoughts on alcoholism, once you take a sip, it's a drinking spell. Reasoning is lost when you drink so you continue to unintentionally but intentionally push loved ones away. Tanya gives a good description that the girl in the story faces and her experience and relationship with her mother on a day to day basis.
