A Lighthouse in Hurricane Harvey
Reading Lauren Y.’s article, “A Lighthouse in Hurricane Harvey” was very touching and an article that makes you realize how much it affects the people. The way Lauren described the “once-familiar roads and neighborhoods turn into rivers and lakes” really hits you with the realization how much this storm affected the people’s lives and how much they changed. A huge storm that could not be stopped changed lives, took lives, and completely uprooted the city of Houston. However, a result of this storm as Lauren said, “the power of a nation and world coming together is truly a lighthouse in the storm.” It’s a true blessing to see many come together in a time in need.
