Am I Safe Here

I can relate to Alexis Q.'s when she wrote her poem "Am I Safe Here?". This poem overall gave me a sense of honesty. She stated many relatable and important statements like, "I pull on my hijab and see the man on TV jeer and I must ask, "Father, am I really safe here?" " Being an immigrant myself from a muslim country I understood her perspective of why she added all these social criticisms people receive from society. Alexis, I sincerely thank you for this poem that voiced your views on relatable social aspects.
