Old World, Meet New

I found this article extremely maddening.
"Old World, Meet New" by Andrea truly ruffled my feathers.
The difference between male and female roles are quite astounding as so to say.
Females are to act polite and submissive while males are encouraged to pursue women.
She and her little brother are born together, but the expected responsibilities are different, even under the same roof.
