Kick Like a Girl
I found "Kick Like a Girl" by Sumona Gupta extremely movig because it reflects on my life. She states "And to think that I could be a role model for girls is pretty cool." That stands out to me because a lot of people say sports aren't for girls, but these are all streotypes that girls can only girly things. Girls should never be put down because as girls we have the right to play any sport we choose. In her article, Sumona describes Savannah as one of the best kickers from the point of view of her teammates, many girls are better than some guys. Girls shouldn't be rejected from the team just because they're a girl. Girls do as much as a guy. Thank you,Sumona, for writing this article, and thank you Savannah for being a role model for girls.
