The Summer Before by Emma Raup
I know how Emma feels when she talks about having the best summer memories with her friend and then ending up not being friends anymore in the article "The Summer Before". I know how she feels because this was me and my friend McKenzie. Over the summer we did so much together. We were practically attached at the hip, we went swimming together, ate together, spent the night with each other, we did EVERYTHING together. Then school started and I was placed in Honors classes and she went back to the regular learning classes and we just ended up drifting apart. All those memories we made just went away when we started making other friends and not seeing each other as much anymore. Thank you Emma for writing this piece and helping me remember all the fun that McKenzie and I had!
