Feedback on "The Train"
The last thing you would expect to find on a crowded train is love. Yet Brenna Leahy, the author of "The Train," writes of exactly that. The setting reeled me in right away and I wasn't disappointed throughout. The narrator is a normal, quiet girl who keeps to herself on public transportation. Then she sees a pair of striking blue eyes.
Although it leaves on a cliffhanger, this piece satisfied me. With lines like "All at one I need to take my headphones off" show how enveloped the narrator is in the mysterious boy. She has the urge to know more about him, and so does the reader. This fiction piece was one of few that captured my attention from beginning to end.
