Feedback on When Dad Goes to Prison
The piece "When Dad Goes to Prison" by "Alicia" is very touching and honest. The piece is about a girl whose dad has been in prison for a couple of times. Her dad sells drugs but just doesn't know when to stop. With a growing prison record, it is almost impossible for "Alicia's" dad to find work. He can only work jobs with minimum wage which is a drastic difference from making thousands of dollars a day.
To me, this piece was really a snapshot of reality without sugarcoating anything. It must have been difficult to find the courage to write about this but then words may ease the pain. I can empathize for this family. The world does not forgive easily no matter how hard you try. I;m rooting for you "Alicia" and I hope your father the best of luck. I'm sure he'll be able to stand one day.
