"Dark to Light" Response
The author uses music as a way to relieve him or herself from the stresses of high school and relationships. Whenever life gets difficult, music is the author's way of coping and remaining calm during tense situations.
Music is a very effective way of taking the mind off of the bad times in life. I think that everyone has had times in their lives when they needed some time alone, away from people for a while. Whenever I felt like this, I would relax by listening to my favorite musical artists. Some music is very moving and can evoke strong emotions and attachments to the lyrics because of how perfectly it seems to understand the listener. My advice to the author is to continue listening to music during tough times and to keep an enthusiastic attitude about musical appreciation.
