In the essay “Defense of Role Model“ by Flynn Walker, it describes how some professional athletes get a bad rep from those who are generalized as undeserving of a role-model status because they aren’t acting well behaved. Thus, the one’s that live up to their achievements, don't get the credit they deserve. It also states how young kids might have a hard time making good choices from these negative influences. I agree to that because, I myself look up to professional athletes. After reading this piece I have wondered how the behaved athletes feel about the bad rep they get, and I wonder what I would do if i was in their place. Would I not care because they are doing if for publicity? I honestly dont know!

Writing this piece was inspiring because of my passion for sports and being dedicated. I hope to pass on this passion for sports that I carry on to people around the world, because it's made me who I am.
