Girl Auction
"Girl Auction" by Shelby B. moved me, for I felt every ounce of embarrassment Shelby did. This article shows not only popularity,. but the things people will do to be "cool." I was able to relate to Shelby, for the popular girl "tiny six-foot-nothing at 16..." is a perfect of the popular girl at almost any school. Certainly, all teenagers have been in an embarrassing or awkward situation. This article was significant because it shows flaws in humans and how acceptance is so important to teenagers. Thank you Shelby for allowing me to see that all schools have cliques, and there are many flaws in the high school setting.
