Before I read "Hidden In Plain Sight" by Laura D., I already could tell it was about being a middle child by the tittle and area. I am the oldest child in my family; therefore, this article would not relate to me, right? Wrong. My dad spends all his time pampering me; this is similar to what Laura wrote,"[The oldest child is] something to compare us[middle children] to." My youngest brother is always referred to as the "baby" while my middle brother is left in the dust of love. I want to help him; however, my father just praises me too much, and I get distracted. Thank you, Laura for explaining how painful it is for my brother, in the middle.
