Worth It
The poem, “Worth It,” by AlleaBelle G, reminds me of football because when our team plays we always wonder when our next water break will be . When she says, “locker room stench,” it reminds me of when we go to off-island locker rooms that always stink, and always smell like soaking wet, sweaty jerseys . Every single time after practice I feel really tired and I just want to fall down into bed. Like it says in the poem , “something always hurts” after “endless hours of practice”. Whenever I lose a couple of pounds from practice, I feel like it’s “worth it.”
