Daddy's Womb Review
This poem holds in it an incredible amount of emotion. The anguish of the narrator is apparent, especially at the end. There’s somewhat of a shock factor of the father having trapped the narrator in chains. The imagery of the sea, ground, and sky are all very powerful and help to emphasize the point of the poem.
There is both strength and weakness in the voice of the writer as he moves through the different levels of the poem. He shows determination and later a sad acceptance of his fate of belonging to his father.
