Dance Class: My Refuge MAG
I read this story about dance in the October issue. Jennifer loved dance, but because a kid at school made fun of her lessons, she quit. When that girl Nicole said that dance was "retarded," I really wanted to find and smack her! I've taken jazz lessons for years, and it's extraordinary. If she went to my school, she'd keep her mouth shut because dance is popular.
Hey, Nicole - have you seen BET, MTV or VH1 lately? Do you know what those people are doing in the background? They're dancing. And you know how they got so good? They took dance lessons!
Thanks, Jennifer, for such an inspiring story. You keep on dancing, honey.
