Celebrity Obsession MAG
I completely agree with this article - kids are more worried about what brand clothes they are wearing, their popularity, and fitting in while believing they are being themselves. It sounds confusing, and it is, but think about it. Ever since “The OC” and “Laguna Beach” hit TV, it is almost every kid’s dream to move to California and live a glamorous life. They don’t realize that this is just TV.
I’m not saying that it’s wrong to have a favorite celebrity, but realize that in order to get where they are, they worked hard. Kids need to learn to be themselves and make their own lives, not try to live someone else’s.
