Good-Bye North Shore, Hello Me
I am proud of Jackie R. who wrote "Good-Bye North Shore, Hello me" and I now admire her. She realized that being trendy isn't the best, socially nor emotionally. Why should I and others go out and buy the most expensive purse or jeans just because they're designed by so and so? Will it matter in 30 years from now the clothes I wore, the '$200 jeans' or the most make-up? I find that it's a waste of money. Just like Jackie, I try to stay away from the newest trends that will be long gone in two weeks. Instead, I like to wear clothes that make me feel good and my wallet too. I don't apply pounds of make-up to make my face look perfect. I'll just wash it off at the end of the day and anyways, I'm not perfect and nobody else is. I think we really need to realize that looks aren't everything.
