Extra Obstacles MAG
“Extra Obstacles,” by Kelsey R., was a great personal story about Kelsey's experience when her knee and lower leg were severed by a lawnmower. If that had happened to me, I would be a mess, but Kelsey really took it well. Although she can't do everything she once did, she enjoys doing what she is able to do.
I am an athlete too, and I would never want to stop playing many of the sports I enjoy now. But Kelsey really shows that these things can happen, and you shouldn't be ashamed to just do what you can, even if you have to give up something you love. For Kelsey, that was soccer, but she took on tennis and ended up loving it. Kelsey says to find fun in everything within your grasp – sooner or later, you will start to enjoy what you can do.
