The Different One
I strongly disagree with Rachel W. and her article "The Different One". Rachel states that she is the different one at school, for her peers ask her " why she does not put up a Christmas tree". She also implies that she does not want to be asked those questions thought high school anymore; she is quite self cautious. Without doubt, i believe that NO ONE SHOULD FEEL INSECURE OR HUMILIATED ABOUT THEIR BACKGROUND. It is a phenomenal blessing to have different cultures in the United States, for it creates Diversity. Rachel a word of ADVICE is to expand the knowledge of others and explain and emphasize the pride of your culture. This will result in more of your peers excepting and understanding your background , and not so many questions =]
