The Gift Horse
"The Gift Horse" by McAllistar Lark was about an abused horse. The horse, Trebeau was found in a kitchen with its tail stuck in a pantry. Its knees were predominately damaged. Trebeau ended up at a barn with a man who rescues horses. He got one of his clients up to the barn to try out Trebeau. McAllistar immediately turned down the horse. The man was able to persuade her into at least trying it. So she did. She fell in love with Trebeau and took him home. I liked this article because I love animals. I’m glad Trebeau went to a good home with a loving owner.
