Heroes of Sept. 11 MAG
“Heroes of September 11” by Alice A. from Brooklyn, N.Y., is a touching article that chronicles the events of that tragic day. I learned about men and women involved in the search and rescue, the terrible chain of events, and how it affected the country.
Though I was young like Alice, I can remember schools closing early that day, and watching the coverage on television. I didn't understand how serious the situation was then, but I now know that it was an act of cowardice that has forever left a mark on America.
Unlike Alice, I was hundreds of miles away on that day, so I could offer nothing but my hopes and prayers for those who died and those who loved them.
