Triggered: Sexual Violence Survivors & PTSD
A big round of applause for Lisa who wrote the article “Triggered: Sexual Violence Survivors & PTSD.” This article was extremely moving due to the fact that she talks about the situation she was in. She was raped. She also talks about how it traumatizes someone who has been in that situation. Most people wouldn’t understand the way it is felt, like me for example. This article is something that people need to take into consideration because this is real. Things like this happen and it is sickening to have others to such thing to another person. In the article, Lisa says “not even sleeping can offer protection from breaching memories; for nightmares are a tradetrack of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Meaning that it impacts your life emotionally and mentally. Everything said in this article is just to open the eyes of many. Thank you, Lisa for your time and dedication into sharing such a heartbreaking story.
