Jaqcueline M.'s "The Man Who Fell in Love With Death" was both heartbreaking and sad, leaving me with conflicting emotions on the idea of death. Many people have fallen in love with Death, do not fear it and some even seek it. Once in Death's grasp, tere is no escaping, it becomes a constant need until it feels like youcan;t breathe anymore. It is easy to fall in love with Death, no more pointless worries, no fear of feeling abandoned and useless. The author even demonstrated how easy it is to lose oneself in Death, "For the most part, I was alone and unwanted. I should just end it right?" One misses the peace of Death's kiss, the tranquility of being weightless and carefree, turning a blind eye to those mourning in the land of the living. "Take my hand, I'll lead you to a safe place," is whatDeath says to the dying man. This makes me sad because many have surrendered and fallen victim to Death's alluring promises of a safe place.
