Coping with an Addicted Parent
“Coping with an Addicted Parent,” written by Heather, talks about how she could have helped her mom. Her writing left me in disbelief and surprised. It left me in disbelief because the mom would pick up her daughter from school not sober. As in the text it says, ”This depended on my mom’s ability to drive.” The daughter wondered whether she passed, ” being sober or not.” This makes me wonder why the mom keeps putting her daughter in this much danger, because of the mom’s stress problems. My opinion on this is the daughter needs to get help for herself and the mom. In order for her habits to stop they need to find help right away.
