Vegetarianism
Whenever I tell people I am a vegetarian they look at me like I am crazy. I quit eating meat almost two years ago when my dad cooked steak for our dinner. He didn't cook it long enough and it was really bloody. I got so grossed out I have never touched meat again. Although my reason sounds kind of silly, there are plenty of other reasons people decide to be vegetarian. The most common reason is animal rights. Many people believe it is not fair to the animals when they are cooked for food. I am pretty sure none of us want to become someones food. The other reason involves health. Most vegetarians are healthier than people who eat meat. Vegetarian diets have less fat in them most of the time, and vegetarians are less likely to get food borne disease. Even though a lot of people think I am insane I think I made the right choice. It was hard the first few weeks. I was fine after that. I don't think I have ever really regretted it either.
