Think of the Future
Our forests, the lungs of this planet, are being destroyed. Children, in poverty, are working long hours for little or no money at all. Orangutans are loosing their homes. And this is all in aid of one industry.
The palm oil industry.
The palm oil industry is led by convential palm plantations in tropical rainforests. An enormous area of forest is gone. Destroyed. And nobody can replace the damage that has been done. This destruction is also connected to climate change.
By 2020, it's expected that the use of palm oil will double. With the population growing, the future for the world's rainforests, animals, and for the people in poverty does not look good.
Palm oil may be a cheap source of oil. A sustainable source of oil, it is not. We need to think of the future! Our future is in our hands.
Think of the children. Think of the beautiful creatures on this earth. Live for today and live for the many tomorrows that follow. Think of the future.
