Darkness
She wakes up in the morning, dreading the coming day,
The names she will be called filling her mind,
The shoves, the snickering, the dirty looks, the sneering remarks,
Her phone beeps,
Even online she can't escape it,
Every day the same routine, she feels she should be used to it,
But everyday makes it a little harder,
Every taunted chipping away at her resolve
The light at the end of the tunnel keeps getting dimmer,
One day it flickers out, taking hope with it,
The end is no longer apparent,
Leaving her with nothing to hold on to
