Richard sat by the bedside of his dying wife, holding her hand.
“Did you take your medication today?” she asked weakly.
“I don’t remember.” he said, bewildered.
“Oh, Richard…” she said softly. The heart monitor flatlined.
Not remembering where he was or why, the old man got up, confused, and walked out of the room.
