The Spooky Mansion
It was a sunny day when Isabelle moved into her new house, a mansion. She was so happy because since childhood she had always wanted to live in one but her parents couldn’t afford it. Now as an adult, she earned enough money as a doctor to buy a gigantic house for herself. After moving everything in with a friend, she rested before making her dinner.
In the kitchen Isabelle felt something pass by her, like a stream of air. Thinking it was the wind she ignored it. A couple of minutes later she saw the light flickering. When she got up, suddenly the light went off. While she was looking for the candles, she started hearing scary noises like rattling and clunking from where she was standing. Her heart started beating really fast. She heard the door slam. The rain outside pounded against the window. Suddenly the lights turned on and she thought to herself, probably I was thinking about it too much in my head.
She then decided to go to sleep. While Isabelle was going upstairs, the chair started rocking too but she thought the blanket she had in her hand brushed the chair to rock it. Isabelle then said to herself, “Why are so many unusual things happening today?” In the middle of the night Isabelle woke up, hearing the door moving back and forth. It was creaking, but she thought it was the wind because her window was open so Isabelle went back to sleep.
The next morning, Isabelle went to the kitchen to make breakfast before she continued to unpack. Later, she went to her library and she found a book that told about the history of the mansion she bought. She skimmed through the whole book and found something. It talked about the person living in that mansion before Isabelle moved in. The person living there died when someone broke into the house and murdered him. The spirit of the person who died apparently still haunted the house. Isabelle then put the book away, thinking it was not true because she did not believe in ghosts. A couple minutes later, after Isabelle was done cleaning, she went to the attic. Isabelle saw a portrait in a dusty frame. Cleaning the dust, she saw the same picture of the person in the book. She was so shocked and said, this can’t be.
Isabelle ran back downstairs and flipped the pages of the books and read about it. It was talking about the person who died there. Suddenly the lights turned off and Isabelle now realizes that there was something going on in her house. Right when she tried to pick her phone up to call her friend, she felt like someone was grabbing her neck. Isabelle's face got all red, trying to move those hands from her neck, but the ghost was too powerful. There was a lamp that was very bright next to her so she was trying to reach it and shine the light on the ghost and the ghost left. She was coughing and coughing and panicking of what was going to happen next, so she went to go drink water and Isabelle got really scared and she had an idea.
